The Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti today he stated that there are no "Serbian municipalities" in Kosovo and that the agreement to establish the Association of Serbian Municipalities (ZSO) was not violated by him, but by the President of Serbia. Aleksandar Vuќi..

"There are municipalities where Serbs are the majority, but there are no Albanian, Serbian or Turkish municipalities. The municipalities are the municipalities of the citizens. So, the municipalities have no national affiliation," Kurti told reporters, according to "Radio Kim".

He added that the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo does not allow association based on ethnicity.

"You can have an association of municipalities or various other organizations only on a different basis, be it economic, economic, social, health or educational, but not on an ethnic basis. The 33 agreements that were signed in Brussels before I came to power are arranged horizontally, they have no hierarchy. You cannot say that this contract is more important than others. All those agreements are equal and they will be treated in our negotiations, which basically have this latest proposal of the European Union, which has received support especially from France, Germany and the United States. So all those prior agreements are in that proposal. Now you can't take one of your contracts and say that's the only contract that matters. There are 33 contracts," he said.

The Kosovo Prime Minister added that "when the time comes" and based on this proposal from the European Union, "he will review all those agreements".

"There is no agreement that can be a precondition and no agreement that can enter the center of a future agreement. The complete normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia must have mutual recognition at the center," Kurti believes.

According to him, the president of Serbia "violated his most valued agreement".

"Don't forget that on December 10 last year that agreement on the Community of Municipalities was signed on April 19, 2013 by former Prime Ministers Hashim Thaci and Ivica Dacic, and the President of Serbia violated it when he sent a letter to five EU countries that do not recognize Kosovo . The President of Serbia signed a letter against Kosovo's request for membership in the European Union. With that, he violated his most valued agreement, because in point 14 of that agreement it is said that Kosovo and Serbia will not create obstacles for each other in relation to the path to European integration," said Kurti.
