In Croatia today, a boycott of bakeries and bakery products, starting tomorrow, a boycott of a new retail chain
At the call of the "Alo Inspector" platform, a one-day boycott of stores is taking place in Croatia today, which this time, at the call of high school students, also includes a boycott of bakeries and all bakery products at all points of sale, Hina reported.

"The boycott continues, consumers want to boycott purchases and reduce costs and send a message to everyone who is working to increase prices," said Josip Kelemen, an advisor to the Hello Inspector platform, at a press conference last night, noting that he would not say that the boycott is decreasing, because young people also say that it should continue.
The platform estimates that merchants have lost over 100 million euros so far due to the boycott.
"If we know that there are more than 100 million euros less in the coffers of retail chains, if we know that the voice of consumers has been heard, if we know that at least some market surveillance systems have been activated in Croatia, and if we know that numerous promotions and discounts have been put into use, this is a sign that we ourselves have become aware of consumption and that our voice is being heard."
On Wednesday, the platform called on consumers via their Facebook page to support the high school students' initiative and boycott shopping at bakeries and stores.
"Let's support the high school students' initiative! Let's boycott buying bread, burek, pastries, donuts and other bakery products in bakeries and stores. Let's stop buying for one day," they announced on their Facebook page.
Since Saturday, the platform has been organizing a week-long boycott of Konzum, which ends today. The chain was selected in a survey in which, according to the platform, 144.732 citizens participated.
After "Konzum", the next retail chain that will be boycotted for a week is "Plodine".
