As many as 35.111 payments received over the years in the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund have not been distributed. Their total amount is 2,3 million euros and that is money that should go to the pensioners, but it is not known whose pensions they are for. Of the total undistributed payments, 9.451 payments in the amount of 1,6 million euros, are from the period before 2008, ie before the introduction of the system for integrated collection of contributions, reads the report of the State Audit Office.

The auditors found that "in the payment of contributions to the account of the Fund, a large number of inconsistent (unallocated and unidentified) amounts of contributions appear, which are not automatically distributed due to certain discrepancies."

According to the analysis of the redistributed funds, it was concluded that unallocated payments most often occur during the payment of contributions for part-time work and temporarily hired persons, for which the Fund has not received appropriate applications / deregistration for employment and registration of a taxpayer. However, the undistributed payments are also due to the submitted monthly salary calculations with incorrect data or changed ID or tax numbers.

"For resolving some of the unidentified payments, the Fund continuously brings decisions for refunds for incorrectly paid amounts, prepared by the Department for collection of contributions based on a submitted request, but the collection has little effect and a regular report is generated in the electronic system. inconsistent payments, which should be individually resolved and distributed by insured persons by the employees in the regional units of the Fund. Due to the inability to provide the necessary data for dismissal in a timely manner, some of the inconsistent payments that remain unallocated originate from the beginning of the introduction of electronic collection of contributions, ie. since 2006 ", the auditors noticed.
