Balkan poetry was celebrated in the House of Culture "Kocho Racin".

The ninth edition of the poetry festival "Balkan evening of poetry" (Balkansko veche poezije) in Skopje was held on September 27 at the House of Culture "Koco Racin".

The evening was opened by Mrs. Razmena Cekic Durovic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Economy under the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and Mr. Robert Aladjozovski, National Coordinator for Interculturalism, One Society, Cultural Development and Interdepartmental Cooperation in the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The poetry festival was attended by poets who, when they write, see the world around them with open eyes and a free heart. Verses in their native language, but also in the Macedonian language, pour out of their poetic atars. Through the bridge established through tongues they would understand and feel what was poured out from their souls on the white sheets of paper.

At the Festival, poems were read in Macedonian, Albanian, Bosnian, Turkish, Croatian, Roma, Vlach and Serbian languages. These songs carry the idea of bringing people together and encouraging coexistence, thus achieving the main goal of multicultural diversity.

This colorful display of languages with mosaic poetic images by established poets is held on the occasion of the International Day of Bosniaks, organized by the Youth Cultural Association of Bosniaks - "Shadrvan". Poets from all national communities living under the Macedonian sun take part in this event every year.

The poem "Zulija" by Bajro Perva (BiH), which has been translated into Macedonian, was also promoted within the "Balkan evening of poetry". The walls of the hall in the House of Culture "Kocho Racin" were decorated with artistic paintings by amateur painters.
