In Delchevo, pumping water from people's basements continued this morning, as a result of the floods from yesterday's storm, which affected the city.

Firefighters from Kavadarci, Kočani, Berovo and Makedonska Kamenica responded to the call of the mayor of Delčevo last night and helped in repairing the consequences of the storm.

During the storm, a large number of houses in the lower parts of the city were flooded, and the most endangered were the inhabitants of the Prolet neighborhood, whose houses were floating under water due to the overflowing of the Gabrovchica river. Floods were also registered on Tsarevoselska Street, Bulevar Makedonija, in the Studena Cheshma neighborhood and other neighborhoods, which fortunately passed without human casualties.

During the night, in addition to the firemen, there were also employees of the utility company who cleared part of the drifts on the road network with mechanization.

In his evening address, the mayor of Delchevo informed that all available resources have been put into operation, but to fully deal with the consequences, more support will be needed.

He appealed to the threatened citizens to report the situation to the duty telephone number, expressing the hope that things will be brought under complete control during today's day.
