Police officers during the last night in the period from 22.00 to 03.00 in the area of SIA Bitola conducted action control for driving vehicles under action of alcohol, where 24 misdemeanors were ascertained and legally sanctioned, informs the Ministry of Interior.

- Most of them are in the area of ​​Bitola - 14, in the area of ​​Prilep - 6, in the area of ​​Resen - 2 and one each in the area of ​​Demir Hisar and Makedonski Brod. 26 other violations were sanctioned during the control, the statement said.

The Ministry of Interior points out that the intensified action controls will continue in the coming days.

"We appeal to the citizens to respect the traffic rules and regulations in order to increase the traffic safety and together to contribute to safer roads," the statement added.
