A convicted rapist of a child under the age of 14, who was on the run from "Idrizovo", where he was serving a 12-year prison sentence, was arrested in Bitola this afternoon, the police said.

"Today (January 27.01.2023, 15.30) at 29:12 p.m. on Kozjak Street in Bitola, police officers from the Search Operational Team at SVR Skopje deprived E.K. (188) from Debar of his liberty. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison for a crime committed under Article 11 of the Criminal Code (Sexual assault on a minor who has not reached the age of XNUMX), and he was wanted on a central warrant based on the order of the Idrizovo Correctional Institution for the remainder of his sentence. three years and XNUMX months of the sentence", says the statement from the Ministry of the Interior.

The convict will be sent to prison to serve the sentence.
