Be careful, for dyeing eggs they also offer dye for textiles
Every year, on the eve of Easter, experts warn that colors should never be bought at street stalls and thus endanger health, but only in verified stores.
It is mandatory to look at the declaration before buying. As once reported on the Consumer Information website, the advice to buyers is to look for the E-mark (e-number) on the bag, as this means that the color is classified as a food additive and is on the positive list of additives , which is regulated by law. Otherwise, the food colors in that system are those from E100 to E180 and are safe to use.
All others cannot be used to color eggs or other food. It is also pointed out that real food colors are usually a little more expensive because these products for the food industry are purified.
In previous years, there were low-quality paints on the market, cheap products that could also contain heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic... Advice to buyers is to buy paints in verified stores. Anything much lower than expected probably comes from industrial pigments.
The cheap chemical dyes used to dye wool and silk are not edible, so don't use them to dye Easter eggs, experts warn, Politika.rs reported.
