Caution: When is honey introduced into baby food?
Honey is a proven useful product that has a beneficial effect on the whole organism. It can be used as food or added to various dishes and drinks. But it is also a strong allergen, especially buckwheat honey, while acacia is considered the safest.
Honey is recommended to be introduced into the diet of children not earlier than 12 to 18 months of age. It is best not to introduce it in pure form, but as a supplement to a drink or food. Once you give your child a drink with honey, you need to monitor the reaction of his body. If there is no reaction, you can increase the amount of honey by adding it to other dishes.

In addition to being an allergen, honey is dangerous for children under one year of age and because of the possibility of developing botulism. It is an infectious disease that develops when swallowing botulinum toxin, one of the most toxic substances produced today by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.
Honey may contain these bacteria which are not retained in the intestines of an adult, unlike babies, due to the developed protective functions.
