The parliamentary speaker Talat Xhaferi has not received an initiative to reduce the parliamentary group led by VMRO-DPMNE, ie to form eight or ten parliamentary groups with MPs from this party, which is made possible by the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly.

The coordinator of the parliamentary group of VMRO-DPMNE Nikola Micevski for "Sloboden Pecat" he says that the party is analyzing the attitude of Speaker Xhaferi towards the entire opposition in the parliament, and then they will speak about the formation of several parliamentary groups, but also about the interpellation of the speaker.

Sources in the ruling majority say the announcement of the formation of at least eight parliamentary groups by the opposition would be another desperate attempt to attract attention and block the system.

- The goal is a blockade of the Parliament, which will not succeed. There is no logic for the same political party to have more parliamentary groups, that would be an introduction to the new April 27 - they say in SDSM.

Recently at a press briefing, Speaker Xhaferi said about these announcements of VMRO-DPMNE that the political climate is currently different from that in 2017, when they were divided into ten groups.

- The methods of action that mean more power for blockade, should be abandoned, for the Assembly to start functioning Said Xhaferi.
