VMRO-DPMNE threatens "war" again

"I am afraid that the experiments you are doing now can lead us to another conflict, and if in 2001 the Albanians became, now the Macedonians can become. Do not underestimate what I am telling you" – Aleksandar Nikoloski VMRO-DPMNE

Whether the statement of VMRO-DPMNE vice-president Aleksandar Nikoloski contains only fear or intimidation, perhaps an incitement to war, is up to the competent authorities to decide.

In any case, it sounded like a serious threat addressed to the current government, due to the fact that Alliance for Albanians entered it instead of Alternative, which left.

But let's go back to the scandalous statement of Aleksandar Nikoloski given in the Parliament during a session on the reconstruction of the Government.

If you listen carefully, you cannot get rid of the impression that he threatened war in Macedonia in the name of the Macedonians.

The statement is not naive at all, as he himself insisted.

We will wait to see whether and how the prosecution will treat it. But of course it should be taken into account that it is not a slip, but a thoughtful statement which, under certain conditions, can mobilize individuals or groups of citizens who will not remain deaf to this "call" (or so they will interpret it) and will get caught for weapons.

It is a similar, if not more direct call than Gruevski's, that the citizens will not change the government by sitting at home, which caused the events of April 27 and the attack on the Parliament. At the same time, it is an addition to the statement of the current leader of this party, Hristijan Mickoski, given last year in April, that if there is no agreement on elections, "the people will have their own way" and that "serious and unprecedented steps will follow".

The creation of general discontent in the public discourse by this at least non-state party can easily mislead a small number of its radical supporters, who, unaware of the consequences, will enter into temptation and may form paramilitary formations, waiting for a call to action from " the headquarters". The consequences for them, but also for the state, would be unfathomable.

Nikoloski and VMRO-DPMNE see the reasons for the start of the war in the exit of the Alliance for Albanians from the opposition ranks and its entry into the government coalition.

With that, Nikoloski believes, "the ethnic balance in the country will be disturbed."

How does Nikoloski think that the ethnic balance in the country will be disturbed with the exit of one party and the entry of another party of Albanians?

But what is more important is how Nikoloski "forgets" that there have always been parties of Albanians in the Government and VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM. Gruevski flirted with both DPA and DUI, although he previously said that he would not form a coalition with terrorists. However, that did not prevent him from ruling for ten years with the "terrorists" and applying the "famous" May Agreement at the "order" of Ahmeti.

It also remains unclear what the vice-president of VMRO-DPMNE means when he says that "The experiments of generations before us led us to a military conflict in 2001".

Should we remind Mr. Nikoloski that in 2001 he and his party were the "generation" that made an experiment that caused a military conflict in the country. During that war period, a large number of Macedonian sons died, and their children were left without their fathers and still carry the traumas of the war.

But unlike those who fought, a large number of VMRO-DPMNE sympathizers and the leadership fled the country, hiding in neighboring states, and some even further away. It is not known where the young Aleksandar Nikolovski fought then.

From there, it should be clear to Aleksandar Nikolovski that the decisions about war and peace cannot and must not be blanket statements of a disgruntled politician, and even less in the name of a nation.

But the essence of the statement is in something else. She has a political background. But that must not be an excuse for its transposition into a military action.

Probably, the entry of the Alliance into VMRO-DPMNE hurt the Albanians a lot, because until recently they considered the Alliance to be "their" party. With her, they planned a new parliamentary majority with which they will bring down this Government and FINALLY make it possible to hold early parliamentary elections. It was really painful for the leadership of this party, which has been in opposition for a long time and cannot come to terms with that fact. It is even more terrible that even in the regular elections, there will be no one to form a coalition with, and thus form a Government.
What worries them is whether this majority at the state level will be transferred to the local level. If that happens, then they would also lose that branch of the government with which they thought to storm the parliamentary elections.

The facts say that Skopje is already lost to them anyway. They didn't even get "Centar", and "Karposh" slips through their hands. In Gostivar, the power is in the hands of the Alliance for the Albanians, and Besa's rule in Tetovo will also be debatable. In Bitola, the difference is thin, and it is similar in some municipalities in "Skopje" such as in Zelenikovo or Petrovec.

With the poor results in other Skopje municipalities, they will have nothing to brag about in the election campaign. They will only be left with spitting, fake news and the hope that no one from this party will vote for the continuation of the country's European future.
