VMRO-DPMNE accuses the government of not reacting to threats against Mickoski's family, Pendarovski denies that he gave the threat a thank-you note

The party VMRO-DPMNE reacts that SDSM and the president Stevo Pendarovski do not distance themselves from the person who threatens the lives of the children of the president of the party Hristijan Mickoski, whom they claim is their sympathizer and supporter, as well as that he received a letter of thanks from the head of state . The President's Office, on the other hand, denied that Pendarovski awarded a certificate of appreciation to the indicated person.

VMRO-DPMNE announced today that the threats to the family and children of the leader Hristijan Mickoski are an act of vandalism and barbaric conduct of politics by the government.

"24 hours have passed, neither SDS nor Pendarovski distanced themselves from the person who threatens the life of the leader of VMRO-DPMNE and his children on social media. The threater is a public supporter of Prime Minister Kovacevski, and President Pendarovski presented him with a thank-you note. Neither the Ministry of the Interior reacts to such threats, which are an expression of the government's fear and impotence, nor does the SDS condemn such acts when minor children are involved in politics. Kovacevski's government is directly behind such low-level attempts and threats to the opposition. This is heinous politicking in an attempt to cover up the government's crimes. The government should make it clear that there is no retreat and no deviation from the fight against the crime of the government and the defeats they bring to Macedonia - said VMRO-DPMNE.

The President's Office issued a statement in response:

"Regarding the allegations of a certificate of appreciation issued by President Stevo Pendarovski to Robert Todoroski, president of RHO Zdrujeni srca - Prilep, we inform you that such a document was not handed over by President Pendarovski, or issued by the President's Cabinet," they said. from Pendarovski's Cabinet.

The MP from VMRO-DPMNE, Brane Petrushevski, on the other hand, posted on Facebook that the same person threatens him and called him to a meeting:
"Only cowards and cowards make threats in messages." Here I am publicly calling the person in question, Robert, who threatens me and President Mickoski, that he would liquidate our families, to meet in person, face to face. If there is anyone mentally normal left in the leadership of SDS, I demand condemnation and dissuasion from such threats to their members.
I also ask the President of the country, Mr. Stevo Pendarovski, to withdraw the Letter of Appreciation issued to such a thug. I also call on the international community to vigilantly monitor the situation with opposition MPs and officials, who are the target of daily threats, surveillance and intimidation with files illegally kept by government officials.
If the institutions of the state do not want to protect us, we will be forced to protect ourselves and our families as best we know how. And finally, to make it clear to everyone, even at the cost of my life, I will not vote for constitutional amendments, because I do not have a mandate from the citizens", announced the deputy.

Party president Mickoski said yesterday that he is used to such type of threats, for the fifth year in a row.

- It is not something new, it happens to me and my family and they are already getting used to such threats. That is the environment in which we live in Macedonia. Every week after a new murder, politicians are threatened by people who are not the first time, you know there are those who have threatened many times before - Mickoski said.

He added that he will move freely because he does not feel that he has done anything wrong to be scared.

- I have not reported to the police and I have no intention of reporting. I have said many times in the past that I am the only president of a party who does not have security from the state, despite the fact that security is threatened, but now I will not accept Spasovski or Zarko from the national security agency - Mickoski said.
