The epilogue of today's 27th session of the Bitola Municipality Council is that VMRO-DPMNE lost the majority in the Council. The party's informal coalition partner, the independent Poinaku list, which has three councillors, voted against the VMRO-DPMNE proposals.

At the session, despite the opposition of the councilors of VMRO-DPMNE, on the proposal of the opposition SDSM, it was accepted to put on the agenda the points for the dismissal of the management and supervisory boards in the Bitola public enterprises.

The proposal of the SDSM was accepted at the session to discuss the dismissal of the management boards of the public enterprises: "Vodovod", "Kumanalets", "Markets", "Parkingzi", as well as the Cultural and Information Center.

The only utility company that was not on the list for dismissal of the management and supervisory board was PE "Niskogrubanda".

The three councilors of "Poinaku", which until now provided the majority of VMRO-DPMNE in the Council, and the two councilors of Left voted for the proposal of SDSM. VMRO-DPMNE interprets such a turn in the Bitola Council as another violation of the Rules of Procedure and the Statute by the president of the Council Gabriela Ilievska from Poinaku, which is in open conflict with the mayor Toni Konjanovski.

Today, she accused Konjanovski of thinking only about himself instead of the citizens. Confirmation of that, according to her, was the fact that at the session the municipal services submitted a request to increase his salary by 78 percent.

Late this afternoon, Mayor Konjanovski responded to such accusations that the increase in his salary is only the implementation of the decision of the Constitutional Court and that he will donate the difference from the salary he will receive with the increase to humanitarian purposes.

Whether this new informal coalition between SDSM and Poinaku will be only for this session of the Council or whether it will continue further, is not known for the time being.

Otherwise, at today's session of the Council, which is still ongoing, the majority of councilors did not adopt the quarterly report on the budget of the Municipality of Bitola. After long discussions and several interruptions, the report did not receive support - the advisory group of SDSM, which has 13 advisors, voted "against", and 13 advisors of VMRO-DPMNE voted "for".

The councilors of Left and Poinaku, a total of five, abstained.
