After yesterday's meeting between Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and the leaders of the Alliance and Alternative Zijadin Sela and Afrim Gashi on the Law on Citizenship, VMRO-DPMNE today withdrew the amendments. According to them, there is no end to the hypocritical games and politicking of Zaev and SDSM at the expense of the citizens and the economy. The coordinator of the VMRO-DPMNE parliamentary group, Nikola Micevski, called on the Alliance for Albanians and Alternativa to immediately withdraw the amendments submitted to the laws from the fifth set of anti-crisis measures.

- Aware of the lack of sincere desire for a quick solution, but also of the critical moment in which Macedonia, its citizens and the economy are, we will withdraw all amendments to the Law on Citizenship in order to finally vote on the fifth package of measures to help citizens. and the economy, said Micevski.

According to him, at a time when over 55 thousand citizens are out of work and can barely make ends meet, when the Macedonian economy is on its knees and thousands of companies have closed, the government is showing irresponsibility to both citizens and the economy.

-Because the Government submitted a negative opinion to the proposer, and for weeks Zoran Zaev and other SDSM officials have been giving statements for not accepting the text of the law that is in procedure, we call on them to immediately submit it to the commission, because there are no rules or amendments. , to continue the plenary session and to vote on this law. At the same time, we call on the Alternative / Alliance for Albanians coalition to withdraw the amendments from the fifth package of measures, so that companies and citizens can receive the already insufficient and overdue funds to help deal with the consequences of the KOVID pandemic. says Micevski.
