Enter the wonderful world of the Moomins: The legendary blue house also exists in reality
The legendary blue house from the cartoon series "The Moomins" it also exists in the real world, and it is located in the town of Naantali on the island of Kailo, which belongs to Finland. The house is an integral part of the theme park Moomin World.
The cartoon series, which marked the childhoods of several generations around the world, is based on the books and comics by the Swedish-Finnish illustrator Tove Janson. A total of nine books, along with five picture books and a comic strip, were published in the series between 1945 and 1993.
This theme park differs from the others in that there are no slides, carousels, swings, autodromes, etc. This is a unique space – a replica of the magical world of the Moomins, where you can see mascots and watch shows.
If you plan to visit the theme park, it is only open during the summer months. The first and main reason for this is the cold weather, which reigns in the north of Europe, and the second reason (for those with a childish spirit) is that the Moomins sleep their winter sleep then.
However, the park is also known to be open during February, so that photographers can capture some snow-covered scenes.
In addition to being able to visit the rooms inside the house, you can also spend time with your favorite characters. In addition, this small town has themed restaurants and souvenir shops, and there are also hotels where you can spend the night.
