The Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia at today's 45th session reviewed and adopted the Information on the start of the Strategic Dialogue between the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the United States of America.

Appoints Minister of Foreign Affairs as Coordinator of the Strategic Dialogue Process between the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the United States Bujar Osmani, who on June 2 will lead the delegation of the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia at the opening of the process in Washington, which will include the Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska, Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi and the Minister of Culture, Bisera Kostadinovska Stojcevska.

Strategic dialogue is raising relations with the United States to a higher level and is particularly important in the context of current security threats. The dialogue will cover topics of bilateral relations for cooperation in economy, trade, education, transport, energy, climate change, democratic development, fight against corruption, rule of law, as well as security segments of cooperation, migration, fight against terrorism, to tackle organized and international crime.

The dialogue also covers the current security situation, cooperation between the two countries as NATO partners, Northern Macedonia's aspirations for EU membership, the country's upcoming chairmanship of the OSCE, our efforts within the Biden's Democracy Summit and other topics of interest, they said. from the Government.

At this session, the Government determined the text of the Draft Law on Guarantee of the Republic of Northern Macedonia on the obligations under the Loan Agreement for financing the TEN-T highway project from Skopje to the border with Kosovo, which will be concluded between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. and Development and the Public Enterprise for State. and roads.

The purpose of this Draft Law on Guarantee is to provide financial support for the project, ie construction of the second subdivision that refers to the rest of the highway Blace - Skopje, in the length of about 10.5 km, which will significantly improve mobility and trade exchange, road safety will be improved and travel time will be shortened, opportunities for socio-economic development will be increased, both at national and regional level.

At the proposal of the Ministry of Finance, the Government today approved the text of the Draft-Law on borrowing of the Republic of Northern Macedonia with a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development under the Loan Agreement for financing the Regional Solid Waste Project.

The main purpose of the loan guarantee for project financing is to assist the development of regional waste management systems in the Southeast, Vardar, Pelagonija, Southwest and Polog regions.

At today's session, the Government adopted a conclusion by which it determined the Vice President for European Affairs Bojan Maricic and the Secretariat for European Affairs to provide institutional support for the implementation of the initiatives and agreements.
