At the suggestion of Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic, the Montenegrin Government decides in an electronic session on shortening the mandate of the Parliament of Montenegro, said Podgorica Vijesti.

Under Montenegro's constitution, parliament's term can end prematurely - by shortening or dissolving it.

The proposal for reduction can be submitted by the President of Montenegro, the government or at least 25 MPs, and the decision to shorten the mandate is made by a majority vote of all MPs.
