Vlada Urošević is the laureate of this year's "Poetry Evenings in Struga"
Macedonian poet, prose author, critic, essayist, anthologist and translator, academician Vlada Uroшеevi. is the winner of the "Golden Wreath" at the Struga Evenings of Poetry, announced the president of the Management Board of the event, Elizabeth Sheleva.
Urosevic is the third Macedonian author to receive the "Golden Wreath", after Blaze Koneski in 1981 and Mateja Matevski in 2011.
Urošević thanked for the award from the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, where the World Poetry Day is celebrated today, March 21, and where an all-day program is being held in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Macedonian lyricist. Aco Shopov.
Last week, Academician Urošević for the novel "True but not very likely history about the Pustopolski family about the house by the Vardar and about the four rings", received the prestigious literary award "Novel of the Year" for 2022.
The Irish Poet Gavin Bradley with his collection of poems "Fear of Separation" is this year's winner of the "Bridges of Struga" award - an international award awarded by the festival "Strugke večeri na poezija" together with UNESCO, for the best debut poetry book in the world.
