Government: We are XNUMX percent actively transparent – active transparency is the best prevention of corruption
The government has a maximum of 100 percent active transparency out of a possible 100 percent, that is, it publishes all the foreseen information from active transparency, according to the regular annual ranking of the institutions according to the Active Transparency Index of the Center for Civil Communications, the government Press Service announced today.
"The active transparency index ranks all institutions in the country at the local and central level since 2016. The government, from 25 percent transparency in 2016, today, according to the ranking, has full, i.e. 100 percent transparency together with the Ministry of Defense, which, in turn, from 45th place with 47,6 percent at the beginning of the measurements, has reached first place with the maximum in the last two years percent", the announcement states.
The government Press Service points out that according to the annual ranking, the average active transparency of the ministries, the Government and the municipalities for 2022 is 73 percent and compared to last year, when it was 63 percent, it has improved by ten percentage points.
"As many as 81 percent of the institutions improved their active transparency this year." The active transparency of the ministries and the Government is 85 percent, and that of the municipalities is 70 percent. Unlike last year, the ministries improved by six percentage points, and the municipalities by ten," the statement added.
The government points out that it continues to work dedicatedly on preserving transparency and regular and timely publication of public information, as one of its top priorities.
