Who can resist a slice of delicious pie on a cold fall day?
If you are one of those who love the combination of chocolate and nuts, then this pie will become your favorite dessert in the coming period.
Also, the preparation is so easy that even novice cooks will make the pie in no time.
Ingredients needed
Ingredients for the base
- 300 fl flour
- 170 g butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons of cold water
Ingredients for the filling
- 340 g of walnuts
- 200 g brown sugar
- 125 ml of honey
- 125 ml of sweet cream
- 115 g butter
- 55 g of dark chocolate
Prepare
For the foundation: Cut the butter into cubes about 1 cm in size. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar and butter cubes. Mix the ingredients with your hands until well combined. Add a spoonful of cold water and mix all the ingredients with a fork.
To check if your dough is ready, shape it into a ball. If the ball does not fall apart, then the dough is ready. Otherwise, add another tablespoon of cold water and mix again.
Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in clear plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour to firm up and chill. If desired, you can leave the dough in the refrigerator overnight.
Roll out the dough and place it in a previously prepared pie tin. Put it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Place baking paper over the cooled dough and place it in a heated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 35 minutes. Remove the baking paper and check if the dough is well baked. If not, put it in the oven for another three to five minutes.
Cool the pie plate and reduce the oven temperature to 180 degrees Celsius.
About the filling: Chop the nuts. Melt the butter together with the brown sugar and honey. Then add the walnuts and the sweet cream. Cook for another minute, then pour the resulting filling into the pre-cooled base.
Return the pie to the oven for another 30 minutes.
Melt the chocolate in steam and pour it over the walnut filling.
Good appetite!
