The primary public prosecutor's office in Shtip issued an order to conduct an investigative procedure against the public prosecutor Mustafa Hajrulahi, for whom there is a well-founded suspicion of having committed a prolonged criminal offense - Harassment in the performance of the service from Article 143, as well as for a prolonged criminal offense - Abuse of official position and authority from Article 353 of the Criminal Code.

The criminal complaint against the public prosecutor for mistreatment in the performance of his duties was submitted to the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of North Macedonia by a group of employees of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office Skopje, after which it was forwarded to the competent action of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office Shtip. In the course of the investigative actions undertaken by the Stip prosecutor's office, data and knowledge were obtained that point to suspicion of abuse of official position and authority.

After receiving the notice of the investigation, based on Article 81 of the Law on Public Prosecutions, the Public Prosecutor of the Republic of North Macedonia made a decision to remove the public prosecutor from his position while the criminal procedure initiated after the complaint against him continues.
