The legendary Swedish tennis player Mats Wilander believes that Novak Djokovic is not important to the ranking of the ATP, but to Grand Slam titles and victories at Wimbledon.

Djokovic won his seventh Wimbledon title on Sunday, after defeating Nick Kyrgios in the final 4:6, 6:3, 6:4, 7:6. With Sunday's triumph, the Serbian also reached his 21st Grand Slam title.

But despite the Wimbledon triumph, Djokovic fell to seventh place in the ATP rankings. The ATP decided not to score Wimbledon, because the organizers banned the participation of Russian and Belarusian tennis players due to the war in Ukraine.

- For Djokovic, I don't think it makes a difference whether he is the first or seventh tennis player in the world. Wimbledon titles and Grand Slam trophies are important to him. And to be the best in history - said Wilander.
