The political and security situation in the countries of the region, accompanied by the developments in the Middle East together with fears of a migrant crisis, contributes to the increase and popularity among the population of the Balkans of extreme right-wing movements and radical groups. Although Macedonia is currently security stable, it is not immune to these movements, which do not always grow into aggressive organizations or paramilitary formations. Therefore, as a region that has a "long tradition of warfare", it should preemptively react to the potential for radicalization. He emphasized this in a sublimated conclusion Peco Trajkoski one Center for Research and Policy Making CRPM in the morning show of Sloboden Pechat.

- It is not a question of whether we will have a migrant crisis, but the question is when it will happen. Why am I saying this, because a migrant camp has already opened in neighboring Albania. In addition to this, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic joined in with a statement in which he said that he will not allow Serbia to become a refugee camp. What worries us as a country is how Germany will react to all this. Whether it will be the same as in Merkel's time when Berlin opened its borders and called for refugees to come to Europe, or whether the state crossings will be blocked, remains to be seen. Whatever happens from these scenarios, it is more than clear that Macedonia would be affected by a new wave of migrants for which we as a country should prepare - points out Trajkoski.

Trajkoski from the Center for Research and Policy Making CRPM adds that the Union has always seen the Western Balkans as the external border of the EU. Therefore, according to him, caution against a new migrant wave is necessary.

- The Western Balkans is seen as the external border of the EU. This fact has always been so. It is not from now, nor is it some novelty that we are not familiar with. Conservative EU countries like Hungary, the Czech Republic and others have made it clear that they will close their borders in order to prevent a migrant scenario like the one of 10 years ago. The decision to open a migrant camp in Albania is just a confirmation that part of Europe is preparing for such a scenario, for which we as a country should be alert - points out Trajkoski.
