Professor Oliver Andonov is decisive in the claim that the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, violated the party's Statute in several articles during the selection of a candidate for the presidential elections of the country and has no intention of withdrawing the lawsuit filed with the Administrative Court of the Republic of Macedonia.

During his guest appearance in the morning program of Sloboden Pechat, Andonov pointed out that the convention of the party, at which the presidential candidate should be elected, was not publicly announced, and other provisions of the Statute were not respected either, as the conditions for participation in the convention were stated that each candidate must have the support of at least 30 delegates.

- In the Statute of the party it is clearly stated that a candidate for the president of the state can be anyone who fulfills the legal provisions. Nowhere is it stated that the candidate should be a member of VMRO-DPMNE, nor that he should have the support of 30 delegates. Nobody knows those delegates, I don't even know them, even though I am formally a member of the party - says Andonov.

He called on the VMRO-DPMNE candidate, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, to investigate the procedure by which she was selected to represent the party in the presidential elections, first as a professor from the Faculty of Law, and then as a possible future president of Macedonia, who announces that it will be corrective to the government.

Andonov also says that he is still a member of VMRO-DPMNE, together with other supporters of the party faction, which advocates for democratization and the return of the ideological positions of the party, but in these conditions he cannot support Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova in the race for president.

- How can I support someone who comes to the party as a former minister of Crvenkovski through a small door, to put it pejoratively, as a candidate for the president of VMRO-DPMNE. As a right-winger, as a member of VMRO-DPMNE, as a former official in various organs of the party, I cannot afford such a luxury to go against my ideological commitment - says Andonov.

He also said that he has no ambition to be a presidential candidate or to be nominated for any other state office.
