The new regional hit "Social Rules", the song that Croatian star Mia Dimsic recorded it with ours Vlatko Stefanovski, these days in Skopje is getting a video. It is a beautiful postcard of the Macedonian metropolis, regardless of the fact that "metropolis" may sound like a phrase to someone.

Although she has been on the music scene for less than 10 years, Croatian pop star Mia Dimšić is one of the biggest in the region. She was born in 1992 in Osijek, so far she has released five albums, including one in English and one with Christmas songs. Behind her is the performance of "Eurovision" two years ago, and due to the style of the performance, she is often compared to the planetary attraction Taylor Swift.

These days, Mia is staying in Skopje, where together with Vlatko Stefanovski, she is recording a music video for the lead song from her current album "Social Rules", in which the Macedonian guitarist is a guest.

- It is a special honor for me that the Macedonian virtuoso Vlatko Stefanovski is my guest in the song "Social Rules". We met by chance, in Zagreb, at an awards ceremony. He told me that he liked what I was doing and that I could ask him when I had a song that he could guest on with his guitar. It's no small thing, for one Vlatko Stefanovski to give you such a compliment - Mia is delighted.

The song "Social Rules" was recorded in several studios, from Philadelphia in America, through Rijeka and Zagreb in Croatia, to Vlatko's studio on Meksicka Street in Skopje. It is another confirmation that every real effort ends with great success.

Not coincidentally, since Mia's first hit, "Life Is Grey," it's been that way. What has been invested must be paid off.

- It is a privilege and a responsibility to deal with music. Nine years ago I dropped the first single and crossed paths with some things, one hundred percent investment or nothing. And that is the only way if you want to have any result - Dimšić explains.

Her parents and sister are the first to listen to her songs. Now also Damir Bacic, her manager and co-author. From a shy girl, Mia became a real and big regional star.

Talking about her favorite album, she proudly points out "Monologue", the first one in English.

– First, but by no means the last. My longtime dream. He most deeply describes me, what I am like on the inside, when I am alone, with paper and pencil - Mia is open.

Speaking about performing at Eurovision, Mia says that the event opens a lot of doors. And that she is very grateful for representing Croatia at this event.

And, about how to spend time in Macedonia, he speaks very lovingly about our country...

- My impression was once again confirmed that in Macedonia people are kind and cordial, that people live relaxed, that friendships and family ties are valued. It is a similarity with us Croats and with the Balkans in general. And the food and drinks from Macedonia are not to be thrown away at all. And Skopje as a city is a mix of old and new, east and west, a real timepiece...

After she returns to Zagreb, she is waiting for the release of "Social Rules" on vinyl, which she is particularly happy about, as well as promotions in Zagreb and Osijek at the beginning of November.

– If we were to do an interview in 10 years, I would like to say that I have traveled across the continents and that I have released several more albums, both in Croatian and in English. And that I became an even more complete performer and person. The meaning of life is to become a more advanced version of yourself - said Mia and hurried to continue shooting the video in the most beautiful locations in Skopje.
