VIDEO INTERVIEW | Ljulzim Farizi: Ali tells Albanians that without DUI they will be expelled
In all municipalities with ethnically mixed populations, such as Kicevo, Struga, Debar, Chair, Gostivar, Tetovo, DUI will have no chance of winning the upcoming local elections, believes analyst Ljulzim Farizi, in an interview given to Sloboden Pechat.

– In all these municipalities, DUI will be defeated, if of course the government of VMRO-DPMNE, Vredi and ZNAM survives. We see that SDSM has also distanced itself from the integrative parties, so the defeat will be even greater. DUI has a chance only in monolithic Albanian areas, but even here I am not sure how much success they will achieve. It may happen that DUI will end up with one or two municipalities in which this party will achieve an electoral victory – says Farizi.
Regarding the behavior of Ali Ahmeti, the leader of DUI, who posted a "militant video" on social media a few days ago, Farizi says that it is nothing new, but this time the public reaction is different.
– There are short videos on the Internet in which Ali Ahmeti behaves belligerently. There was also a video in which he asks to be given a sword. It is an old thing, but its re-posting on social networks has caused a big reaction now. Ahmeti's rhetoric towards Albanian voters is simple. He tells them that without DUI, Albanians in Macedonia will be expelled – claims Farizi.
The analyst welcomes the fight against organized crime and corruption, but he himself is aware that these actions by the police and the prosecution will not go easily.
– Suspects are fleeing across the border again, but here it is evident that someone informed them in advance that they would be arrested, so they fled to other countries. However, I think they will return. Specifically in the case of Artan Grubi, I learned that he does not possess a passport from another country, thus making his extradition more difficult. But I think that at some point he will need to contact his family and at that moment his address will be revealed – says Farizi.
Farizi is optimistic that the Government will continue to prosecute criminals and will not stop with the actions taken so far.
