Andreas Schieder in Austria received a new mandate to represent Austria in the European Parliament for the next five years. In the past mandate, he was the head of the EP delegation for relations with Macedonia.

Shearer participated in several sessions of the political dialogue in Macedonia in the Jean Monnet Dialogue. In an interview with Sloboden Pechat, he talks about the differences in relations between Macedonian politicians on stage and behind the scenes. He is worried about the decline of the EU's credibility in the Balkans, blaming Brussels for such trends.
