VIDEO POLL | We "swimmed" through the streets of Skopje
It's raining and the traffic jam is starting in the capital. Cars, nervous drivers, no buses, clogged drains. Free Press asked the citizens how the rain affects the congestion in the city and how did they get to work this morning?
Most of the people of Skopje say that when there are such torrential rains in Skopje, the city is blocked, the traffic jam is huge.
- I think that in the future the authorities should think a little more about how to regulate this congestion - says a resident of Skopje.
The lady explains that even when it's not raining, it's crowded, the rain makes things even more complicated.
- I live in Autokomanda, and I work in Centar, my journey to work was 35 minutes today - says a resident of Skopje.
Skopjanka says that they circled the ring road for an hour.
- It was a disaster. Everywhere was blocked - she says.
They say that the city's infrastructure is not adequate to handle the rains.
- Not a single drainage manhole is working, the streets are "swimming" from everywhere - says a woman from Skopje.
