Sela said that today he feels like a member of Alimi's family and called him "a brother to whom he owes his life".

-Since April 27, he has become my friend, brother, family member. Today I feel as free as Feta feels. I feel proud of Feta's invincibility and masculinity, this man never humbled himself, he said.

On April 27, 2017, Aliti, as a security employee of the Parliament, handed over the keys to former deputies of VMRO-DPMNE, Sašo Vasilevski and Krsto Mukoski, who opened the doors and allowed the protesters to break into the legislature. But he also saved Ziyadin Sela from the protesters who wanted to kill the then leader of the Alliance.

Before the court, Alimi told how the thugs left Sela after he told them he was dead and then took him to one of the Parliament offices and after a few hours, after the police arrived, he was taken out of the legislature, disguised as a policeman and taken to the hospital .

Alimi is the first of 17 people convicted of "Bloody Thursday" to be released from prison. Judge Dobrila Katsarska then clarified that the sentence was less because he saved Sela, but he still committed a crime by handing over the keys to the Parliament.

After Alimi, the next person to be released is Aleksandar Vasilevski-Ninja, on June 11, 2025.
