VIDEO | Zelensky walked through Kherson, promised that everything will be restored
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was in the southern Kherson region, visited local infrastructure and promised to "restore everything" after the Russian invasion.
The visit to the region where Ukraine launched a successful counter-offensive against Russian occupation forces late last year was Zelensky's second departure from Kyiv this week. Yesterday, he visited the army near the eastern battlefront in the city of Bakhmut.
Zelensky visited one of the energy facilities in the Kherson region.

- I talked with local residents about their current problems and needs, Zelenski wrote on Telegram under the photos from his visit to Kherson. We will restore everything, we will build everything anew. As with every town and village that suffered because of the occupier, he added.
Last year, the Ukrainian counter-offensive pushed the Russian army out of the regional center of Kherson after several months of occupation. Workers are now busy restoring electricity and water supplies.
- We must take care of the complete restoration and protection of our energy sector, Zelenski wrote in a separate announcement in which it can be seen that he is visiting the energy infrastructure. I am grateful to everyone who works on this and returns the light to our people, he emphasized.
