The hosts of American television ABC experienced an unpleasant surprise after being asked to leave the studio in the middle of a show because they were told they were positive for the coronavirus.

Anna Navarro and Sani Hostin, who were fully vaccinated, left the studio a few minutes before the visit of US Vice President Kamala Harris.

"It seems to me that something is happening here that I am not 100 percent aware of," said host Joey Behar, after which the show began a new segment.

"Can anyone tell me about the situation?" "You two have to go out right away," one of the hosts told the hosts.

Behar was preparing to introduce the US vice president when one of the directors interrupted them.

Harris was due to join the show from another ABC studio in New York. After the commercials, Behar and Sarah Haynes, who were sitting on one side of the table, moved to the middle of the table.

Behar then told the audience what had actually happened.

"Since this is going to be the main news, Sani and Ana are probably positive about Covid," Behar said.

"No matter how hard you try, things like this happen, they will probably recover quickly and they will certainly be fine, because both are fully vaccinated," she added.
