French fishermen today briefly blocked ports in France, ferry traffic through The English Channel and the cargo entry of the Eurotunnel in order to prevent the transport of goods to Britain, protesting against the Brexit fishing permits, reports Euronews.

It is another moment of tension between the two neighboring countries, which also blame each other for not doing enough to prevent the death of at least 27 migrants whose boat sank in the English Channel near Calais on Wednesday.

Queues of cars formed on the A16 motorway on the French side, but authorities said the situation was "calm". The Channel Tunnel Rail Service said it was including 12 additional freight trains to deal with the problem.
