VIDEO: The largest Pride Parade in Scandinavia took place in Stockholm
Scandinavia's biggest Pride Parade kicked off in Sweden today, with crowds of people marching through Stockholm to celebrate love, rights and gender diversity.
Participants danced and waved rainbow flags as dozens of parade vehicles passed through the capital. Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde donned a rainbow costume and tweeted: "Showing our true colors during Stockholm Pride."

It is expected that 50.000 people will participate in the parade, and the event will be watched by another half a million people standing by the road, the organizers said.

The celebration comes after major parades were canceled in the past two years due to the pandemic.
It also comes weeks after the Oslo Pride Parade was canceled due to security concerns following a fatal shooting near a popular gay bar.
Two men were killed and 21 others wounded in an attack in late June that Norwegian intelligence said was motivated by Islamist terrorism.
