VIDEO| In Skopje, a trash can that speaks and warns will be installed

The group Urban Art Actions, which works in conjunction with the Center for Contemporary Arts, created an interactive trash can that speaks to passers-by and warns them not to litter.
As informed by the Center for Contemporary Arts, the bin is made of recycled materials (an old sewer pipe) and contains electronics with sensors that detect movement and warn not to throw garbage around, and when someone throws garbage, the bin thanks and tells his story about the garbage in the city. They point out that in its sermon, the bin offers citizens the opportunity to talk to it and hear the reasons why the city is dirty, but also to hear the problems faced by the majority of garbage cans.
The Center for Contemporary Arts announces that in the coming period the bin will be placed (in front of the design studio of King of Print near the "Krug" cafe and at the Mobile Montage Gallery in the Francophone Park) in the center of Skopje, and from next week citizens will be able to meet and talk to the bin in different locations.
The Center hopes that by warning the citizens as well as the authorities in this creative and somewhat humorous way, we will be able to influence at least a little the awareness of communal hygiene and contribute to a cleaner city.
