VIDEO | Horror in Catalonia: Explosion of a container with liquid nitrogen, dozens of children among the injured
Eighteen people, including ten children aged three to 13, were injured in an explosion at a science festival in the city of Girona in northeastern Spain.
Spanish media reported that there were seriously injured people in the explosion.
The accident happened during an experiment at the House of Culture in the Catalan city of Girona, local media reported, citing authorities and a hospital spokesman.
An explosion of liquid nitrogen has caused about 15 injuries in the house of culture in Girona.

During an experiment at a festival organized by the University of Girona, a container of liquid nitrogen exploded in front of an audience of 200 to 300 people.
Those gathered did not suffer burns, but most were injured by parts of the metal bucket that exploded.
