Several videos published on social networks talk about the strong earthquake that hit the southern part of the island of Cuba. It is an earthquake with a magnitude of 5,9 according to the Richter scale near the southern coast of the island of Cuba, not far from the big city of Santiago de Cuba, the American Institute of Geophysics (USGS) said.

There is currently no information on the extent of the damage and whether there are any injuries.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 14,2 kilometers under the ocean, about 35 kilometers from the coast of Bartolome Masso and 175 kilometers from Santiago de Cuba.
