The famous British company for news and film magazines, current in the 20th century, "British Path" has been publishing footage from its rich archive for years, and among them is an interesting video about the visit of the former Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito of Great Britain in 1953.

The footage, which accompanies the information about the visit, shows Tito arriving in Britain on the ship "Galeb", and being greeted by the Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Minister of Foreign Affairs Anthony Etc, as well as the husband of the British Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip.

Tito addressed the hosts in English, and part of his speech can be seen on the recording, which is a rare opportunity to hear the marshal speak English.

The narrator in the video says that this is Tito's first exit from Yugoslavia after the historic split with Soviet leader Joseph Stalin in 1948, and that there were demonstrations in London against Tito's visit. The British secret services were put on high alert due to announcements of a possible assassination attempt on Tito in London.
