VIDEO: The world says goodbye to Queen Elizabeth II
The United Kingdom said goodbye to the Queen today Elizabeth II, a monarch who for 70 years sat on the throne, which is the longest period in British history.
Scores of politicians, monarchs and religious leaders gathered in London to pay their respects to the late queen. Thousands of people crowded the streets of the English metropolis, and millions followed the ceremony through social networks.
The late Queen's son, the new British King Charles the Third, together with members of the royal family led the procession behind the coffin.
Thousands of members of the armed forces from the UK and abroad attended the state funeral, one of the biggest ceremonial events in the country's modern history.
Tonight at 20:30 the Queen will be buried surrounded by her closest family, in the memorial chapel of her father George VI
