VIDEO | The legal dispute between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard received a movie adaptation
It was only a matter of time before someone filmed the exciting court case between the Hollywood star Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Herd.
The film platform Tubei has released the first trailer for the film "Sensational: The Trial of Depp and Heard", inspired by the trial of the famous couple.
The cast consists of Mark Hapka, who plays the role of Johnny Depp, Megan Davis like Amber Heard, Mary Keagy as Heard's attorney, Elaine Bredehoft, and Melissa Marty like Depp's lawyer Camila Vasquez.
As a reminder, Depp filed a lawsuit against Heard over an op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in December 2018.
In the text, she described herself as "a public figure who is a victim of domestic violence." Although Depp is not mentioned by name in the text, he sued Heard for claiming he was a domestic abuser, seeking $50 million in damages.
In response to the lawsuit, Heard filed a countersuit, seeking $100 million, claiming she suffered "uncontrollable physical violence and abuse."
