(VIDEO) Russia dropped a vacuum bomb on Ukrainian positions! The most powerful weapon after nuclear was used in Kursk

Russia has announced that it has used a thermobaric bomb against Ukrainian forces. This was said during the announcement of the "anti-terrorist" operation, which is a response to Ukraine's invasion of Kursk, "Sky News" writes.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, fighting continues in the western Kursk region. The Russian military carried out airstrikes against Ukrainian forces, and these attacks used thermobaric bombs, also known as vacuum bombs, which can "crushed" human bodies due to the extreme pressure and temperature of the explosion.

This is not the first time Moscow has used thermobaric bombs, as Ukrainian officials claim they were used in the invasion just weeks after it began in February 2022.

Using vacuum bombs is not a violation of international law, but targeting civilians with them is.

Vacuum bombs, also known as thermobaric explosives, work in two stages.

The first part is an explosive charge that disperses the fuel into a cloud that can then enter buildings or surrounding structures.

In the second stage, it releases a cloud that causes a huge fireball and literally "sucks" the oxygen from the surrounding areas, causing a terrifying shock wave.

The effects of the heat and pressure are horrific – anyone caught in the first blast would be instantly incinerated.

Anyone caught in the area would suffer severe internal injuries from the shock wave.

- They primarily kill by creating an extremely powerful shock wave that "tears" organs and burns the lungs, experts say.

According to them, the shock wave propagates in closed spaces, so it is especially deadly for people in closed places like basements or caves.

They also create extremely high temperatures of several thousand degrees and can cause terrible burns.
