VIDEO | Prof. Kolozova: Academic community will certainly not resolve dispute with Bulgaria, but will open door
An interesting conference is being held today in Skopje, and the topic is how to reinvent the communication roads in the Balkans.
- The guests were not chosen by chance, they are mainly from the Visegrad Group, which also have common, merged histories that used to be a source of conflict, but today of cooperation. We want to see how much that experience can help us in resolving our situation in our region, says for Utrinski briefing prof. Dr. Katarina Kolozova, Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities - Skopje.
Kolozova says that the problem should be seen as "our common", and not "ours" and "yours", which could lead to proposals for possible solutions and recommendations in an attempt to have a positive impact on the whole climate.
- The academic community always influences the public scene, the way things are talked about in public. By changing the public opinion, we hope that we can provide politics with easier access to problem solving and a conceptual tool for that, says Kolozova, adding that the academic community will certainly not resolve the dispute but will open the door.
