The British prince William and his wife, the princess Kate, today paid a surprise visit to Poland, i.e. to the British soldiers stationed in that country, local media reported.

The plane with the members of the British royal house landed at Rzeszow-Jasionka airport. William and Kate are expected to visit soldiers stationed in the city of Rzeszów in Potkaraptje province, as well as visit the medical center in the village of Jasionka where soldiers wounded in operations in Ukraine are being treated.

"I am here because I want to personally thank the Polish and British soldiers who operate in a close and crucial partnership. I also want to pay tribute to the inspiring humanity of the Polish people. You opened hearts as much as homes," William told Polish media. convey "H1".

The royal couple was due to travel to Warsaw to visit a collective center housing around 300 Ukrainian women and children who fled the war.
