The Center for Crisis Management (CMC) informs about a fire in Katlanovsko, in the area "Suv Kamen", under the village. Gradmanci et al. Breznica, where the locals help with coordination on the ground, and an army helicopter is involved in extinguishing the fire, due to the higher inaccessible terrain that makes extinguishing from the ground with firefighting vehicles impossible.

The director of CMC Stojanche Angelov, who is on the ground in Katlanovo, announced that during today there are 8 fires, 6 of which are active, while 2 have been brought under control.

- The fire over Katlanovo is spreading over difficult terrain and that is why the army helicopter was used, and with its actions the Old People's Home and the holiday homes were protected. The most serious fire today is in Mariovo, where 100 members of the Armed Forces, police officers and firefighters have been dispatched, but there is no risk in any village, Angelov said in the statement.

He added that the services have enough forces in case the fire approaches a village, they will react quickly and prevent houses from burning.

According to Angelov, the situation with the fire on Mount Mukos, which yesterday and today is moving towards the village of Oreov Dol, is critical, and there is also a fire in the locality of Ramno on Skopje Black Mountain. The forecasted rainfall is expected to help extinguish wildfires.
