Indian cuisine is exotic and exciting in every sense: from the strong colors and aromas of specific spices to the unusual ways of preparing food.

Each of the regions of this great country has its own specifics. Trademarks are aromatic spices, unusual combinations of vegetables and many other foods. Cereals such as rice, wheat, corn and millet are most common in daily meals.

A street food seller in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has become popular on social media after a video was posted by blogger Amar Sirohi in which a street "chef" uses sand to bake potatoes.

People in northern India use sand only for the preparation of peanuts and rice, but that way of preparing food has proven to be a good option for preparation of delicious baked potatoes, writes "National Geographic".

As can be seen in the video, the street vendor puts potatoes in a large bowl full of hot sand. The potatoes are cooked for about 20 minutes, and then they are served with a piece of butter and a unique sauce of coriander, tomato, ginger and garlic.
