VIDEO | Pavicevic: State Education Inspectorate to determine responsibility where certificates are charged
The problem with certificates has been going on for many years. And last year we came out with a reaction. The same schools appear very often, but we have progress and progress because the number of schools has decreased. Specifically, this year the Tetovo high school has no information that money was required for certificates, but the secondary economic, medical in Tetovo, as well as Skopje's "Zefljush Marki" and Prilep's "Mirce Acev" were charged, said in a morning briefing the president of the High School Students Association, Luka Pavicevic.
- All this is contrary to paragraph 2 of Article 3 of the Law on Secondary Education and since such fees are not in the Law, each school determines them arbitrarily. Last year, the Ombudsman came out with a reaction and opinion on this issue, and this year we have a clear answer from the Ministry of Education and Science. It is clearly stated that this is contrary to the Law on Primary, the Law on Secondary and the Constitution and they said that the State Education Inspectorate will act upon these events. On Saturday, when we issued a press release, we sent the same to the State Education Inspectorate. We have not received an answer yet, but we expect all schools for which we have information to be examined by the State Education Inspectorate. Some of the principals say that they do not know about such fees, that the teachers did it individually, but neither the teachers nor the students should pay these costs out of their own pocket, so we expect the state inspectorate to solve this problem, said Pavicevic.
