Sonja Zajkova-Vice Dean for teaching at FEEIT

Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies organized the traditional open day intended for future students. With the help of the presentation of the study groups, the graduates will have the opportunity to make one of the most important decisions in their life. The Vice Dean for Teaching, Sonja Zajkova for Utrinski briefing says that this year about 500 vacancies will be available for FEEIT students.

- The Faculty offers seven study programs for the first cycle of studies, three are in the field of energy (electricity, automation and renewable energy sources, power systems, power engineering and project management) while four are in the field of computer science (computer technology and engineering, computer -system engineering which includes automation and robotics, computer-hardware engineering and electronics and telecommunications and information engineering). All study programs are attractive and regardless of the choice, the candidates will not make a mistake. In each of the study programs there are from 60 to 80 vacancies in the state quota and 30 places in the quota with co-financing, says prof. Rabbit.

Preparatory classes will be organized for the students who will enroll at the faculty, which will take place before the beginning of the first semester, and a scholarship is provided for the best.

- Every year the big energy companies EVN, ELEM and MEPSO give scholarships to the five best ranked students during the enrollment. Also, scholarships are given by the Institute of Electronics, AEK has already offered ten scholarships for students who will enroll in the study program in telecommunications. Also, a mandatory internship at our faculty is student internship in which final year students spend time in companies as interns. As an unwritten rule, interns are almost always kept in work in companies where they attended internships, adds the vice dean for teaching Sonja Zajkova.

About two hundred students graduate from FEEIT each year, which is an indicator of student commitment.
