A jeep driver crashed into high school students who were blocking an intersection in the town of Becej, Vojvodina, today. This happened during a 15-minute silence for the 15 victims of the Novi Sad tragedy, local portal "Autonomy info".

The incident was prevented because there were police officers nearby, after which the driver returned to the car and left the scene, the portal reports.

Students from the Becej high school who are on lockdown and who spent two nights at the school, announced today that they are disappointed with the School Board's decision to continue classes for students who wish to attend.

Student protests over the collapse of the train station canopy in Novi Sad, which killed 15 people, have been going on for three and a half months, and they have meanwhile grown into broad expressions of dissatisfaction with corruption and the state of Serbian society.
