VIDEO | Naumoski: The business climate in Macedonia is improving, employees should be respected - they are the most important resource in every company

The company "Vitaminka" despite the crisis, this year helped even more and we are always present in our capabilities where needed, says Sasho Naumoski, director of "Vitaminka".

He assesses the economic aspect as difficult, but says the company has managed to save revenue.

"It was a difficult year in every sense. Both from health and from financial. We would not like to repeat the year in which we all lost a loved one. The company managed to survive and retain revenue from 2019. Despite the difficulties, suffering in the company, we managed to keep the income. "I think we still do not feel the global crisis here, I hope it will bypass us," he said at a morning briefing.

As a company, they did not use directly from any government aid package, while indirectly they received the most from the second package of economic measures with the cards for buying domestic products.

"That period somehow opened the region and with that package we returned to a good path. "In May we reached a drop of 25 percent, April 20 percent but we managed to stay within that range and then from July to the end of the year to return to the numbers we have," said Naumoski, adding that "Vitaminka" felt the most decline in Bosnia. and Herzegovina.

Commenting on the company's investment in cooking oil, Naumoski says, 2020 is a phenomenon in which due to the growth of the price, on which they have no share as a company, they had an increase in demand.

"We had a relatively stable market in the last two years and maybe that gave us space to understand how to work with cooking oil. In 2020, the phenomenon of rising crude oil prices occurred. It was terrible to secure the quantities, to keep the physical realization and we had growth due to the increase in price. The oil market has not grown, people are saving because the price is too expensive. But I believe that the price will fall because a new harvest is coming. I want the price to return, we had no share in its growth. "We depend on the products of quality and fresh oil", says Naumoski.

According to the director of "Vitaminka", the government should analyze the subsidies to help the production of sunflower for oil production, but as he says, to return the crops to be grown here.

"The business climate is improving, a relaxed situation is felt in Macedonia. Were it not for the corona crisis, we would have had a better economic situation, but I believe we will return to the level when the economy is expanding and developing. I think the government is wasting too much time with the Labor Law. It is normal for unions to demand workers' rights, and I think employers need to change their way of thinking. "Employees are the most important resource in any company," said Naumoski.
