VIDEO: In the north of Kosovo, two wounded, shock bombs are thrown, firearms are fired
A large number of KFOR members with equipment to break up demonstrations have been deployed since this morning near the municipal buildings in Zvečan, Leposavic and Zubin Potok, in the north of Kosovo, where residents of Serbian nationality have gathered. Behind them are numerous Kosovo policemen, who do not allow the gathered Serbs to approach the municipal buildings, reported Kosovo Online.
The Serbs demand the withdrawal of the Kosovo police and the newly elected Albanian mayors.
Several jeeps and trucks with more than 100 soldiers are present.
The team of "Kosovo Online", which is on the spot, reports that a large number of KFOR members from the Polish contingent are present near the building of the Municipality of Zvechan, who form the first ring of "security" around the municipal building.
Behind the members of KFOR, near the building itself, are members of the Kosovo Police.
The information is that there are two wounded Serbs, one of whom has more serious injuries. They were transferred to the hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica.
As "Kosovo Online" writes, the police opened fire, and about 30 shock bombs were thrown in Zvecan alone.
