Members of the Jewish religious group Lev Tahor, who moved from Kumanovo to Skopje due to pressure, threats and attacks in Kumanovo, told TV24 that they were currently being held in a hotel "like a kind of ghetto, where the rules are carried by the police".

"There are all kinds of police groups, we get all kinds of messages, orders, for example we can go out on the street only when necessary, and that can be done by women, but not men," said members of the group, who added that "they have pressure from all sides, but mostly from the police. "

- We must not meet with outsiders, especially not with the media and we must not let people from the media talk to us in the hotel. Also, we must not walk in the lobby and let other people see us. We can only be in the rooms and in the restaurant, but nothing more - testify from this Jewish religious sect which attracted great attention with its arrival in Macedonia.

The members of the group say that the hotel is too expensive for them and they are looking for a house so that they can be accommodated with their families, but everyone who calls them refuses, apologizing that they can not be accommodated due to pressure.

- Wherever we call to rent a house or apartment, the police approach them and ask them if they are ready to accept us, they set all conditions and therefore they refuse to receive us with them, which is very understandable, just like in the house in Kumanovo . "There were police around us with rotating lights and they were transporting us as if we were being detained," said Lev Tahor's spokeswoman.

She adds that it is normal that hotel owners did not want to receive them, because the police went everywhere with them and when they saw the police they did not accept to receive them, because they looked as if they were detained.

- If they have to detain us, then it is logical for us to be detained. If we should not be detained, why do they hold us as if we were detained? We have the right to stay in the country for 90 days, but the police told us that we have that right, but under strict control. They do not let us move, they keep us in the ghetto, under control - testified by the group.
